Society for EIS Research as a
non-governmental
organization is Established in affiliation of
IFIP organization to share the knowledge of Enterprise Information Systems by
way of all research People, Projects, and Practices. Formally IFIP is a
non-governmental, non-profit umbrella organization for national societies
working in the field of information processing. It was established in 1960 under
the auspices of
UNESCO as a result of the first World Computer Congress held in Paris in
1959.

IFIP TC8 International Conference on Research
and Practical Issues of Enterprise Information Systems is a primary
international event which provides an opportunity for enterprise
information systems academicians and practitioners in the world to
gather, exchange ideas, and present original research in their fields.
The 2nd International Conference on Research and Practical Issues of
Enterprise Information Systems (CONFENIS
2007) is mainly hosted by the Beijing University of Posts
and Telecommunications (BUPT), and locally organized by the Beijing
University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT)
and the Beijing University (BUAA).

CONFENIS 2007 Special Session on
The Next Generation EIS Frameworks
is a new venue to present the last researches and practices of
Enterprise
Information
Systems on
Integrated
Services
or .
The traditional EIS
frameworks are based on the Business Processes and they must be unbundled
through the Electronic Services. Next Generation EIS
Frameworks offer a full range of E-Service enterprise patterns that include the
development of comprehensive strategies to integrate internet based solutions,
E-Business, E-Commerce, and E-Government disciplines, E-Service
technologies, and methodologies into software sensitive organizations. The theme
of this special session is
specifying the role of E-Services to promote commercial and governmental
affairs by
way of using Next Generation EIS Frameworks which developed to leverage
E-Governments, E-Businesses, and E-Commerce though E-Services. In addition to, Next Generation EIS Frameworks focus to facilitate the working of
Service Requesters,
Service
Brokers, and Service Providers, in both
Provider-Centric SOAs and
Consumer-Centric SOA perspectives over a
Grid.
